DEAR DEIDRE: JUST as I was about to have a shower, my sister-in-law walked right up to our bedroom door.
I only had a little towel wrapped around me and I felt exposed, even though I wasn’t showing anything.
My wife had just got out of the shower and had a towel around her too.
She shouted to my sister not to come in, but she came right up to our bedroom door, which was slightly open.
I am 35 and my wife is 32. We’ve been happily married for five years.
My sister-in-law is 30 and recently single. She’s staying with us while she gets back on her feet.

As she approached our bedroom I found myself becoming aroused.
I don’t think my sister-in-law noticed but I have been feeling a bit awkward ever since.
Should I tell anyone this happened – my wife or my sister-in-law?
I don’t know what to do.
It was a close encounter and an isolated incident, so no harm has been done.

DEIDRE SAYS: Being naked and knowing that you are her sister’s husband may have been a thrill for you.
But no one saw anything that could embarrass you so draw a line under this and move on.
There is nothing to be gained by mentioning what happened.
Perhaps you should think about putting a lock on your bedroom door so you can shower in private.
